Natalie Coultas, York based Photographer. Where it all began.
Since a young age I was always captivated by the stories hidden within our family photo albums. This curiosity blossomed into a passion when I started using a camera of my own whilst studying photography at A-level. I kept it up as a hobby, joining the photography society at university and taking photos of events. I photographed my first wedding for a friend in 2012 and from that moment on, I was hooked.
After balancing a career in education alongside capturing weddings and families for eight years, I took the leap to go full-time with my photography. Now almost ten years after setting up my photography business, I’ve honed my craft to deliver an experience focused on empathy, storytelling, and a keen eye for capturing those precious moments.

A Few Fun Facts & Get To Know Me Beyond The Lens
A SOUTHERNER UP NORTH
I grew up in the south of England but have lived in the north for almost 15 years. I really enjoy living in York, appreciating its historical charm. While I've picked up some Yorkshire phrases, I still can't bring myself to call lunch 'dinner'—some traditions stick with you!
SUNRISE & SUNSET CHASER
I’m endlessly fascinated by the beauty of sunrises and sunsets. The way the light changes and paints the sky is pure magic to me, and I often find myself grabbing my camera to capture these moments.
SPONTANEOUS ADVENTURER
I love the thrill of spontaneous trips and exploring new places. It fuels my creativity and brings new perspectives to my photography. Before startng university I travelled solo round the world and love experiencing new cultures and landscapes. I once did a 14,000ft skydive in Australia, although still find rollercoasters scary!
A SWEET TOOTH
I have a weakness for baked goods – except for cheesecake! I’m a sucker for a freshly baked brownie, luckily there are plenty of cafe’s to choose from in York! (I’m always happy to give recommendations).
